Over the past week a hacker/group called ‘Cyberleek’ has been leaking gameplay footage from what appears to be a working build of Grand Theft Auto VI. Their alleged motives are in response to the game not having a physical release and hiding content behind DLCs but they have also been accused of using it to promote a new cryptocurrency. “Publishers sell licenses and call them purchases. They ship unfinished games and call them living services. They lock content on discs and call it DLC,” Cyberleek wrote in a public post on Thursday. “They kill games and keep the money. Every year anti-consumerism tightens its grip, and every year gamers get less for what they pay.”
Take-Two and Rockstar have been trying to find the person(s) responsible but so far they are still at large. A new leak was released earlier today, this one taking place at a nudist club with full frontal male and female nudity.
The game itself will be officially released in November.
