The Popcast” podcast asked Olivia some hard hitting question about the alleged Taylor feud over songwriting credits

“I think I tried to not let it get to me or upset me. I think I just try to keep it trucking. It was so long ago. I think there’s no use in harping on it.”

“I just try to make songs that I love and try to be kind and good to other people and supportive of other people. I’ve always tried to be like that. At the end of the day, I think that’s all you can do.”

“I think it’s a really hard time just personally. I don’t know, I’m a fan girl. I love music and nobody can take that away. That sounds so cheesy, but I love music and I feel so lucky that I get to do what I do.”

    short recap of the drama:

Teen Olivia was an outspoken Taylor fan, and sampled Taylor’s “New Year’s Day” for her “1 Step Forward, 3 Steps Back” song

that sample was creditd on the Sour album

after the release of Sour there was more kinda unclear crditing drama, Taylor was retroactively credited on “Deja Vu” (for an alleged ‘Cruel Summer‘ sample) and Paramore was added on the “Good 4 U” credits for an alleged “Misery Business“sample

Billboard claims that the retroactive credits resulted in Olivia losing around 50% of the royalties on each of the songs.
