We’ve had posts on dramas we like but I wanted to make a post on the worst Asian dramas we’ve watched because we’ve all watched some stinkers and it’s nice to save one another from wasting precious time.
I’ll start with a few of mine to kick things off:

Because This is My First Life (K-drama)
So I have a grudge against this drama. I actually really liked it at first but the developments in the latter half and especially the awful endings for all the main characters ruined the drama for me in a way I had not experienced since Reply 1988.
Heirs (K-drama)
I didn’t want to include anything too old but I could not let this one go. I honestly don’t remember much of what happens in this drama but I remember the pain and confusion I felt watching it. As to why I kept watching, I have no one to blame but myself.
My Mister (K-drama)
Unpopular opinion, but I couldn’t stand this drama. It was painfully pretentious and hamfisted. Perhaps worse than the pretension was the way the three male leads were portrayed more favorably than they deserved. When the male lead cried to his wife that he even cleaned their shared home to spare her the chore as an example of how much he did for her, I just had to laugh.
Shitsuren Chocolatier (J-drama)
A drama for the incels. The male lead is infatuated with the female lead while being a fuckboi and leading on another woman. The female lead [Spoiler (click to open)]ends up in an abusive marriage and goes back to her husband which is portrayed as a happy ending. Flames on the side of my face.
The Untamed (C-drama)
There is a world of good c-dramas out there and my soul dies a little every time this drama is mentioned in conversation with any of them.
