Kate Walsh is defending the GoFundMe page created for Eric Dane‘s daughters.
After Eric died on February 19, his friends set up a fundraising page for his girls Billie Beatrice Dane, 15, and Georgia Geraldine Dane, 13, who he shared with wife Rebecca Gayheart.
The GoFundMe has received backlash from people who believe that Eric was wealthy enough to not need one.

His Grey’s Anatomy co-star shared a pointed message on her Instagram Story about it, defending the GoFundMe’s creation.
“A lot of people (I know in a time when we ask so much of everyone to help with all the things) are under the misconception that actors are rich, but when they go thru these debilitating illnesses they go thru their funds. Thank you for even considering to help,” she wrote beneath a photo of Eric with his two daughters that was used on the GoFundMe page.
