    Treat Williams has tragically died at the age of 71.

    The Everwood actor was killed in a motorcycle accident that occurred on Monday afternoon (June 12), his agent confirmed to People.

    “He was killed this afternoon. He was making a left or a right [and] a car cut him off,” agent Barry McPherson said. “I’m just devastated. He was the nicest guy. He was so talented.”

    The agent added, “He was an actor’s actor. Filmmakers loved him. He’s been the heart of the Hollywood since the late 1970s. He was really proud of his performance this year. He’s been so happy with the work that I got him. He’s had a balanced career.”

    Treat shot to fame with his role as George Berger in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical Hair in 1979. His other movie credits included Prince of the City, Once Upon a Time in America, and 127 Hours.

    From 2002 to 2006, Treat portrayed Andrew “Andy” Brown on the WB series Everwood opposite Emily VanCamp and Chris Pratt, among other rising stars at the time.
