Netflix released Emily Henry’s film adaptation of her novel People We Meet on Vacation on the 9th of January. In the video above, she shares the playlist she made for her characters Poppy and Alex.
In this video on Netflix Tudum, she talks her thoughts about the changes made to her book, which she understands is necessary with an adapation between mediums.
[Changes from book to the film, spoilers]Palm Springs has been changed to Barcelona, with Alex’s brother’s wedding being the reason for going there.
They take less trips and the Croatia one where they kiss is cut out of the film and sort of mashed in with their Tuscany pregnancy scare trip.
Alex getting a vasectomy is not in the film (though this was plot line was apparently not included in non- US version of her book)
