Teddy Swims is entering his dad era. The “Lose Control” singer and his girlfriend, Raiche Wright, revealed on Thursday, January 9, that she’s pregnant with baby No. 1.
“We can’t wait to meet you baby,” the couple captioned a joint Instagram post showing Teddy, 32, and Raiche, 29, sitting on a beach in a lounge chair. She leaned up against him while the Conyers, Georgia, native had his hands placed on her bare baby bump. Raiche was glowing in a red and white gingham bikini as she held onto Teddy — whose real name is Jaten Collin Dimsdale.
Fans and friends celebrated the baby news in the comments.
Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kim Zolciak wrote, “OMG CONGRATULATIONS! I’m so happy for you!” while a fan told Teddy, “I knew it, there was a photo you were absolutely beaming in. Congratulations, that baby is about to have the best lullaby album (live).”
“As soon as I saw the pictures from the CMAs I knew, congratulations to you both. Wonderful news, Teddy’s always wanted a family. You’re gonna be great parents,” a fan told the couple.
Raiche — who is also a singer — had only a slight hint of a baby bump in her black strapless satin dress when she and Teddy attended the CMAs on November 20, 2024, as they put on a loved-up display on the red carpet.
Hours before the couple’s baby announcement, Teddy gushed over his love for Raiche in a touching birthday tribute. He shared a carousel of photos of loved-up moments between the two as they kissed, cuddled and more.
“My sweet girl @mynameisraiche you are truly the divine feminine! You are the most perceptive and caring person I’ve ever met. You’re so beautiful inside and out. So nurturing yet so tough,” the “All That Really Matters” singer began in the caption.
He continued, “You coddle me and challenge me. I’m looking forward to loving you forever and ever and I’m so thankful and lucky to call you mine. I love you. Happy birthday angel! 29 is going to bring you everything you desire, need, and so much more! I’m so happy to be by your side and support you through it all.”
“My sweet baby, I love you!!!” Raiche replied in the comments of Teddy’s post.
The pair were first spotted together at a Grammys party in February 2024, and Raiche joined Teddy on his tour three months later. On May 23, 2024, she shared a video of the pair performing a duet at his show in Dublin, Ireland, followed by several photos of the couple engaged in PDA.
On June 2, 2024, Raiche showed how Teddy made a body art commitment. She posted a black and white photo of the pair holding hands. Raiche’s name was tattooed along with a small heart just below Teddy’s index finger.
Teddy spoke about their romance for the first time in July 2024, during an appearance on Australia’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
“She does what I do, which is great,” he said, referring to how they are both singers. “Because it’s like maybe 3 a.m. and I’m calling her and she’s like, ‘Yeah, yeah I’m in a session. I’m recording vocals.’ And I’m like, ‘Girl, yeah, handle your business, baby.’”
