A judge has granted Olivier Martinez‘s request for a temporary restraining order against ex-wife Halle Berry.
If you didn’t see, the 60-year-old French actor filed for the order and accused the 60-year-old Oscar-winning actress of physically abusing their 12-year-old son Maceo.
He is also is requesting sole custody of their son amid the allegations. His filing requested that Halle must not drink or be under the influence of alcohol or other substances in the presence of their son. And she must undergo sobriety testing before, during or after any visitation.
Olivier alleges that Maceo called him and told him that Halle had allegedly physically attacked him and put him in a chokehold. Read more details in our original post.
On Thursday (October 1), a Los Angeles County judge granted Olivier‘s request for a temporary restraining order that covers both him and Maceo, according to court records viewed by People.
The judge ordered temporarily modified visitation, writing that partial custody is to be “continued to maintain communication between [Berry] and [Maceo],” while denying a request that Halle’s sobriety be monitored, citing “insufficient information.”
The order also modified Halle‘s visitation with Maceo, limiting her time with him to Mondays and Tuesdays between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The temporary restraining order will be in effect until a hearing later this month, at which a judge will determine whether or not the order should be made permanent.
If you didn’t know, Halle and Olivier were married for two years before splitting in 2015. After a nasty legal battle, the exes finalized their divorce in August 2023 before finally reaching a co-parenting agreement in 2024.
Along with Maceo, Halle is also mom to daughter Nahla, 18, whom she shares with her former partner, model Gabriel Aubry. Just a few weeks ago, Halle spoke about Nahla going off to college.
Halle‘s lawyer just released a statement in response to Olivier‘s child abuse accusations.
