Tinashe is getting her flowers.
Her eighth studio album, Popstar, received a 9.0 out of 10 from Pitchfork. “Popstar really is that good: top-shelf material with a sense of purpose—a compulsion, even—about connecting sounds circulating in pop, electronic, and dance music right now,” wrote the publication.
According to projections by Hits Daily Double, the album is aiming for a top 15 debut on the Billboard 200 albums chart with around 27K units in the first week.
It’s expected to surpass Aquarius as her highest charting album of all-time.
