• On Friday afternoon, before the full days streaming numbers were even in, Spotify took to Twitter to celebrate Taylor Swift’s most recent milestone. She officially claimed the title of “most-streamed song by a female artist in a single day” for the year of 2026.
• Olivia Rodrigo has held that record for the past five months after her lead single ‘Drop Dead’ debuted with 10.7 million streams back in April. She held off new debuts by Ariana Grande (‘hate that i made you love me’) and even Taylor herself (‘I Knew It, I Knew You), until today.
• ‘Patient Zero’ debuted with 13.7 million streams. Musical abomination‘Cleveland!’ scored 9.6 million streams, and ‘Babylon’ and ‘Pink Clouding’ score 8 mill apiece. The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore album as a whole received 40.5 million streams.
