In “ohhh, that’s why we got a countdown today” news, Deadline has revealed that comedian Mary Beth Barone will star opposite Joe Alwyn in a rom-com Barone penned herself (based loosely on her own experiences): Still We Met! This explains why Barone and Alwyn were recently spotted together.
This will be the feature directorial debut of director Zackary Drucker, and Lena Dunham will be serving as an executive producer.
For the Overcompensating fans out there, it’s mentioned that filming for the show’s second season has officially concluded, and Barone seems to show no signs of slowing down. Netflix recently premiered her comedy special Galaxy Brain, and Hulu is fast-tracking her new TV vehicle Hard Feelings.
