Keke Palmer‘s mom group has been a “real blessing” in her life.

The 33-year-old actress – who has son Leo, three, with former partner Darius Jackson – is thankful she has a group of women she can always rely on for advice and support, and while she hasn’t known them for too long, she knows they are “true friends”.
She told People magazine: “I love being a mom and my little mom group. We are like thick as thieves, and they’re amazing women.
“I met them when I put my son into his first school, and they embraced us.
“They’ve been moms longer than I have — most of them have two kids, and their kids are older — so they have been in the game for a while, and with me being a single mom, they just immediately went all hands on deck and were like, ‘[We’re here for] whatever you need.’
“That’s what true friends are. It’s been a real blessing in my life to meet those girls, honestly.”
The Nope star has embraced a “whole new life” in her local community as a result of her mom group.
She said: “We’ve always got a plan.
“We play pickleball together, we work out together, we get the kids together. We’re even going to see Oprah soon. We’re so tied up, it’s just crazy. It’s a whole new life.”
And as a result, Keke can see comparisons between her own life and the character she plays in Peacock comedy-mystery The Burbs.
She laughed: “They done got me into a country club.
“I literally feel like I’m in The ‘Burbs, my TV show.
“My life has gone so meta. It’s almost ridiculous.”
Keke recently expressed her hope that Leo learns happiness is “his to take” and not be afraid to “evolve” as he gets older.
Asked what she hopes her son learns from her, she told Extra: “Just to never be afraid to evolve.
“I think we get so caught up in our storylines, and even when they’re tough, we have a hard time getting out of them, but you can always shape-shift. You can always become someone new and let your happiness, let your joy and your peace, be that guiding force.
“I want him to know that happiness is his to take, but we got to take it, you know?”
