Madonna will be opening this year’s VMAs.
She hasn’t opened since 2003’s ICONIC VMA performance with Britney Spears and Xtina, over 23 years ago.
Other performers announced so far: LISA, RAYE, Sienna Spiro, GENER8ION + Yung Lean, Shaboozey & Gunna.
No word yet if the ICONIC Doritos Locos VMA stage will return!
Hosted by Snoop Dogg, the 2026 VMAs will air live from Los Angeles at the Peacock Theater on Sunday, Sept. 27, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. ET (4:30 to 6:30 p.m. PT) on CBS, with a simulcast on MTV and streaming on Paramount+.
