Drake is finally explaining what his mysterious Fear of Missing Out project actually is.
The 39-year-old rapper shared a new teaser on Saturday (September 12), identifying FOMO as “a not so short film directed and scored by the family.”
The project will premiere on YouTube on Tuesday, September 15, at 9 p.m. ET.
The teaser shows Drake traveling across the water in a bright green speedboat while a woman narrates a message about the different paths a person’s life can take. However, the brief preview does not reveal a plot, cast, or runtime.
For fans who were expecting another surprise album, Drake has not announced Fear of Missing Out as a new album or single. His description confirms that the film has a score, but he has not said whether that will include any unreleased songs.
The clarification comes after weeks of speculation about FOMO. Drake began teasing the title in August when he shared a collection of old family photos and captioned the post “FOMO 2026.” He later uploaded an image of a CD jewel case bearing the full Fear of Missing Out title, along with a movie-camera emoji.
Those clues prompted theories that he might be preparing an album, documentary, music video, and tour announcement.
The film arrives approximately four months after Drake released three albums—Iceman, Maid of Honour, and Habibti—at the same time in May.
