What Is The Shards About?
The Shards is based on Bret Easton Ellis‘ 2023 novel of the same name.
The series follows a fictional teenage version of Bret, an aspiring writer attending an elite prep school in 1981 Los Angeles. His life begins to unravel following the arrival of mysterious new student Robert Mallory, coinciding with a serial killer targeting teenagers across the city.
Igby Rigney stars as Bret alongside Kaia Gerber, Homer Gere, Hayes Warner, Graham Campbell, Wes Bentley and Evan Rachel Wood.
The Shards airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on FX and streams on Hulu.
