Selena Gomez, her mother, Mandy Teefey, and their business partner, Daniella Pierson, are being sued by several investors for securities fraud, common law fraud, breach of contract and other grievances. The investors say that Gomez and Teefey mislead investors about the profitabiliy, partnerships, and revenue-generating avenues of their mental health startup, Wondermind. The lawsuit also claims that Teefey struggled with a substance abuse problem.
Founded in 2021, Wondermind was an online wellness platform that was supposed to offer tips for mental health or something. Gomez has allegedly distanced herself from Wondermind amidst the controversy.
