Julie Andrews has shared that, if it is made, she will not appear in a third Princess Diaries movie as Queen Clarisse Renaldi. The 90-year-old Oscar winner shared that she was approached by the film’s creative team about returning, but turned it down: “It was very very hard to say ‘no,’ but I did. I had a wonderful ride, and this one I felt would flourish very well and wouldn’t need Granny going in there at my age.”
Andrews added she is generally retired from on-screen roles, instead preferring to focus on writing, podcasts, and occasional voiceover work. She won an Emmy last year for her work voicing Lady Whistledown on Bridgerton.
