We’re getting a new look at Nicolas Cage‘s upcoming movie!
On Thursday (August 6), Prime Video released a new teaser trailer for the new movie Madden, starring the 62-year-old Oscar-winning actor as NFL legend John Madden.
The upcoming film is directed and co-produced by David O. Russell, who also co-wrote the script. Christian Bale also stars as late football exec Al Davis while the cast includes Sienna Miller, Kathryn Hahn, John Mulaney, and Shane Gillis.
According to Amazon, the film “follows Madden’s remarkable journey—from his Super Bowl-winning partnership with Al Davis and the Raiders, to creating Madden NFL, and becoming one of the most iconic voices in football history.”
If you didn’t know, Madden was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2006.
Madden was the head coach of the Oakland Raiders in the 1970s and led the team to numerous championships and its first Super Bowl win in 1976. After retiring in 1979, he became a mainstay in football coverage as he worked as a commentator for more than three decades. Madden announced his retirement as a broadcaster in 2009 and died in 2021 at the age of 85. He is also the namesake for the fan-favorite Madden video game.
Davis, who was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 1992, was close friends with Madden and former owner of the Raiders. He died in October 2011 at the age of 82.
Madden will be available for streaming on Prime Video beginning on November 18, 2026.
