Other pieces in her extensive collection are a necklace hung with a disc, engraved with Prince George’s full name (George Alexander Louis) and a touching necklace from All The Falling Stars, hung with medallions engraved with the letters “G, L, C.”

It’s not just George, Charlotte and Louis to whom the Princess pays tribute, however—Kate’s collection also boasts a necklace which bears a small, heart-shaped charm inscribed with the letter “W,” as a gesture to her husband. As much as Kate Middleton carries off the royal statement pieces she wears for important engagements, she obviously understands the incomparable power of a piece of jewelry where the meaning is just as important as the design.

The Prince and Princess of Wales, known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay in Scotland, combined their visit to the Commonwealth Games with other engagements. While in Glasgow, the couple met Team Wales athletes and their families, as well as spent time with those supported by SportsAid, of which the Princess of Wales has been patron since 2013.

As for many families, summer is a time for the Waleses to spend quality time together. The Wimbledon Men’s Singles Final typically represents the Princess of Wales’ final engagement before the summer break. Prince William keeps a less strict schedule, but also values the time to recharge away from the spotlight.
