John Leguizamo may be teaming up with Matt Damon once again!
Fresh off the release of The Odyssey, Deadline reports that John is in negotiations to join Matt in the much buzzed-about project from filmmakers Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, aka the Daniels, following their award-winning Everything Everywhere All at Once.
There are still no major details about the project, which has been a closely guarded secret at Universal, but it has been previously reported that along with Matt, the cast also includes Sandra Oh, Sean Kaufman, Michael Gandolfini, and Charles Melton.
The Daniels have reportedly been working on the project for three years, which is described as “involving global warming, time travel, as well as a possible superhero angle. And there are two timelines, one set in the 1980s and one set in present day. The protagonists of the story are teens…at least in the 1980s-set timeline,” via THR.
At first, they were reportedly interested in Ryan Gosling for the supporting role as the father of one of the teens, but it ultimately didn’t work out. Find out who else was considered before landing on Matt.
