Dane Bowers won’t write an autobiography because he doesn’t want to name all the famous women he has dated.

The 46-year-old singer achieved chart success with his R+B group Another Level in the late ’90s with hits like Be Alone No More, Guess I Was a Fool and Freak Me, a provocative cover of Silk’s 1993 track that stormed to number one in the UK.

Dane then enjoyed solo success and even teamed up with Spice Girls star Victoria Beckham and garage act True Steppers on the 2000 single Out of Your Mind.

With his fame came high-profile romances. Most famously, he dated Katie Price between 1998 and 2000 and then had a fling with Katie’s glamour model rival Jodie Marsh afterwards.

Later in his life, Dane had a relationship with former Love Island contestant Laura Anderson. The pair met in Dubai, where he lives, in 2017 and had an on-off relationship before splitting for good in August 2022.

The pop star knows that a book about his life would attract interest, but he does not want to give the public the salacious details of those romances, and he definitely does not want to name the other famous ladies he dated.

When asked in an interview with ContactMusic.com if he would write an autobiography, he said: “I wouldn’t because I think the interesting stuff would be stuff I wouldn’t really want to talk about.

“I’ve done a lot of stuff, but I don’t know how much of that would be interesting enough. These days, people want a bit of craziness. They are the things that people would want to know.”

When it was suggested that readers would want a list of all the other famous women he dated, Dane added: “Exactly! Stuff I can’t talk about!”

Dane, who was speaking to ContactMusic.com on behalf of Zingo Bingo, did accept the offer to appear in Katie’s new documentary Katie Price: Nothing To Hide, in which he discusses their high-profile romance.

The singer admits that his appearance in the programme allowed him to reflect on what it was like being in a relationship with Britain’s biggest glamour model, who is now married to Dubai businessman Lee Andrews, who was revealed to have been trying to sell an X-rated tape of the couple together.

He said: “The interview was about what it was like being in that sort of relationship back in the day. My memory is terrible anyway, so I don’t remember a lot of it. But it was big. I was trying to negotiate a relationship whilst having all that in your face. It was obviously too much to deal with, especially for me.

“It was a different time for me. I wouldn’t be able to do that now, and I wouldn’t do that now. Looking back at it, it was a bit like, ‘Oh s***, I remember that. That was hard work, that was crazy.’

“Katie remembers everything; I don’t really remember anything. I had to be reminded.

“I knew the team doing it, so I was like, why not have a chat about it and remember some bits and pieces? I get asked all the time, so I just thought I’d answer some questions on it. There were some things that I had totally forgotten about. Things were put in newspapers and were out there, but you forget at the time because you just throw it out of your head.”
