Sharon Osbourne has paid an emotional tribute to her late husband Ozzy Osbourne as she marked what would have been their 44th wedding anniversary

Describing a love she said had endured beyond his death, Sharon, 73, shared a photograph of the couple holding hands alongside a personal message on social media almost a year after the Black Sabbath frontman died at the age of 76.

The television personality and music manager posted the tribute on Instagram on Saturday (04.07.26), the anniversary of the couple’s wedding in 1982.

Sharon wrote online: “Today would have been our 46th wedding anniversary.

“Instead, it is a celebration of a love that even death could not diminish. I miss your hand in mine, but I carry your love with me every step of the way.”

She concluded: “Forever my husband. Forever my heart.”

Ozzy died on 22 July, 2025, following a public battle with Parkinson’s disease, just weeks after performing his farewell concert with Black Sabbath in Birmingham.

The performance reunited Ozzy with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward for one final appearance, bringing the pioneering heavy metal band’s career to a close.

The concert and Ozzy’s death prompted a global outpouring of tributes, while renewed interest in Black Sabbath’s legacy has continued throughout the past year.

Away from music, Ozzy and Sharon also became household names through the MTV reality series The Osbournes, which followed their family life and helped redefine celebrity reality television.

The Osbourne family announced Ozzy’s death in a statement released shortly after he died.

They said: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.

“He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

Ozzy’s death came one day after his final performance with Black Sabbath, an event that brought together fans from around the world to celebrate the career of one of heavy metal’s defining figures.

His diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease had been public for several years before his death.

In September 2025, Sharon thanked supporters for the messages she had received following Ozzy’s death.

Sharing a video on Instagram featuring herself and daughter Kelly Osbourne spending time with owls, Sharon wrote: “I’m still having trouble finding the words to express how grateful I am for the overwhelming love and support you’ve shown on social media. Your comments, posts and tributes have brought me more comfort than you know.”

She continued: “Though I’m still finding my footing, I wanted to share some glorious creatures I had the chance to spend an afternoon with.

“The connection you make with these powerful birds is built entirely on trust and confidence. They’ll choose to perch on you only if they sense you are safe and unafraid of them. It’s a bond I know all too well, and the experience was nothing short of magical.”

Sharon concluded: “I love you all, and I thank you deeply for the otherworldly amount of love you continue to send my way.”

Sharon and Ozzy shared daughters Aimee Osbourne, Kelly and son Jack Osbourne.

Ozzy was also the father of Jessica Osbourne and Louis Osbourne from his first marriage to Thelma Riley.

Throughout their more than four decades together, Sharon managed Ozzy’s solo career following his departure from Black Sabbath and became one of the music industry’s most influential managers.

She also enjoyed a successful television career as a judge on The X Factor and America’s Got Talent.
