We were very close to having a Heated Rivalry and Overcompensating crossover.
While attending the Obsessed Fest over the weekend, Benito Skinner revealed that he tried to cast two stars of the steamy gay hockey series to appear on season two of Overcompensating, which he created and stars in.
Benito, 32, told etalk that he was hoping to get Hudson Williams to appear on the new season of his Prime Video comedy series, , which is currently in production, but the 25-year-old Canadian actor was too “busy, I think ultimately.”
Benito also tried to get Robbie G.K., who had a recurring role as Riley in the first season of Overcompensating, to return for season two, but he also turned down the opportunity due to his busy schedule.

“And we tried to bring Riley back, Robbie G.K., who we love so much, who was in season one,” Benito said before noting that he’s going to find a way to get Hudson and Robbie, 29, on the show eventually.
“But again, those boys are busy, but it’s going to happen,” he continued. “One day there is going to be something.”
He also pointed out that Hudson and Robbie likely had to turn down his offers since Heated Rivalry season two is scheduled to begin filming in August.
“But I’m so excited to see season two for them,” Benito said. “So like they’re busy, they have to go make their show.”
While Hudson and Robbie won’t be appearing in season two of Overcompensating, Benito did reveal that this Grammy-winning entertainer will be making an appearance!
