I’m missing a lot, but here’s my attempt at a quick recap
-Many months before the movie was released an account devoted to blind items posts a video saying there was tension on the set between Olivia and Florence. In early 2021, Olivia Wilde gives in an interview with Vanity Fair saying she has a no assholes policy on set. In August 2022, Olivia Wilde reveals that she fired Shia to protect the production and the cast from him. Shia denies what went down and says he actually quit, and leaks a video of Olivia seemingly wanting to work things out for him days after he allegedly quit.
-In the video, Olivia says, “I feel like I’m not ready to give up on this yet, and I, too, am heartbroken and I want to figure this out. You know, I think this might be a bit of a wake-up call for Miss Flo, and I want to know if you’re open to giving this a shot with me, with us. If she really commits, if she really puts her mind and heart into it at this point and if you guys can make peace — and I respect your point of view, I respect hers — but if you guys can do it, what do you think? Is there hope? Will you let me know?”
-Vulture publishes allegations of a screaming match and says Florence Pugh was upset by Oliva Wilde’s frequent disappearances. Puck News also details what went down. Florence Pugh “wasn’t a fan of her director disappearing so often with her leading man, according to multiple sources on the project.”
-40 crew members defend Olivia Wilde by signing letter saying allegations of unprofessional behavior were false
