Paulina Porizkova is embracing her body exactly as it is.
The supermodel, 61, spoke openly about accepting the way she looks in an Instagram video shared on Thursday, June 18, rejecting unsolicited advice about weight loss.
“From my last post about gaining weight and being ok with — I got a lot of love and support from you all — and a few peeps who helpfully wanted to let me know that if I ate and exercised the right way, I COULD get rid of the weight. (Some also helpfully let me know for a small payment they would send me the program that they invented and worked awesome for them),” Porizkova began her caption, adding, “And yes, thank you. I know I can get rid of the weight.”
Noting that she could stick to a rigorous fitness regimen and diet plan or even go under the knife, Porizkova highlighted that she’s more confident in her own skin these days as she rocked a red lingerie set with a plunging bra and high-waisted underwear.
“I can eat less and work out more. I can get liposuction, or freeze my extra fat off in little bricks. My point was and IS: to resist to age takes an awful lot of time and money,” she continued. “And at this point in my life I’m more comfortable in this body than I’ve ever been. More grateful for it. And I have a ton of other things I want to do with my time and money.😉.”
Porizkova addressed commenters after opening up about her 20-pound weight gain in a clip shared on June 10.
In the caption of her latest video, Porizkova reflected on her modeling days, noting she took her body “for granted” during her younger years as she didn’t have to do any work to maintain her figure. The No Filter: The Good, the Bad, and the Beautiful author said she battled insecurities, including feeling like her thighs were “too thick” and her boobs were “not large enough.”
“This one works hard for her body,” she said of her current self in a voiceover. “She hits the heavy weights two or three times a week and pilates in between and cardio. She feeds it food that is good for her and sometimes even food she enjoys. This one really appreciates her body and all of the years that it has held up and carried her brain.”
