Did Kyle Cooke just announce he’s leaving Summer House?
On Thursday (June 18), the 43-year-old reality star and DJ sent fans into a frenzy when he shared a cryptic post on Instagram that seemingly hinted that he was leaving the Bravo reality show after 10 seasons.
“I can’t tell how hard it was to muster up a smile in this photo with my producers. Per usual I was the last to leave the house when we wrapped because I lug so much gear out,” Kyle wrote while sharing photos from in front of the Hamptons house where the show was filmed last summer. “But this year was different. 10 seasons in the books. A new show on the way. And a heartbreaking way to end one helluva run.”
“I’m tearing up as I type this because we truly become a family shooting this show and it was a gut wrenching way to leave this house for good,” he continued. “I can’t thank these 4 enough (and the rest of the crew) for giving up their summer to make it all happen. I think we can finally close this chapter (but don’t blame me if I post some throwbacks that are a lot happier than me driving home all by myself as we filmed the cross over). Finally, thank you to the fans for believing in this show and for all of your support over the last decade. xoxo”
After many believed that this was Kyle‘s way of announcing that he’s leaving the show, he soon edited the post and clarified his comments.
“EDIT! End of Season 10 and a decade of filming this show as I know it,” Kyle added into the caption. “The show isn’t cancelled and this is not me announcing I won’t return. I was feeling emo and always planned sharing the cover photo because it DID feel like the end of an era, which is why everyone else was so emotional saying their goodbyes on the finale. Sorry everyone!”
As of right now, it hasn’t been officially announced if Kyle will be back for season 11 of Summer House. However, we do know that one cast member has exited the show ahead of the new season, which is expected to begin filming during 4th of July weekend.
