Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Perrie Edwards have got married
The former Little Mix singer and the Celtic midfielder, both 32, exchanged vows on Saturday (13.06.26) at the Igreja Matriz de Estoi church in the village of Estoi in Faro, Portugal, in front of a group of around 70 friends and family members.
The groom, in a black tuxedo, was seen entering the church with dad Mark Chamberlain and brother Christian in matching suits, before his bride pulled up in a vintage white Mercedes convertible around 30 minutes later.
Perrie – who owns a holiday home near the church – wore a white lace dress and gold earrings and walked into the church on the arm of her dad Alexander, with her mother Debbie and six bridesmaids, in blue silk dresses, following behind.
A five-piece orchestra performed inside the church during the 30-minute service, Daily Mail online reports.
At the end of the ceremony, a plume of multicoloured smoke was released into the sky as Perrie and Alex left the church holding hands, surrounded by their loved ones as they walked to the village square for drinks while What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong played in the background.
Alex’s former team-mates Danny Welbeck, Kieran Gibbs, Carl Jenkinson and Fulham midfielder Harrison Reed were in attendance, as was Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock, though Jade Thirlwall was unable to attend because she was performing at Spain’s Primavera Sound Festival.
The bride and groom had paid for their guests to stay at the five-star Conrad Algarve, and shut down the Parrilla Natural restaurant for the reception.
The Parrilla Natural Restaurant wrote on Instagram: “We’ll be closed today 13th June, for a beautiful celebration of two hearts coming together.
“What a beautiful beginning to their greatest adventure. Wishing them a lifetime of love, laughter, and happiness together.”
Last month Perrie – who has son Axel, four, and daughter Alanis, four months, with Alex – confirmed her wedding was approaching and she’s been very busy getting everything organised.
She told 1883 Magazine: “There’s so much in both my personal and professional life [coming up] – my wedding! I tried on the dress the other day and I’m so happy with it.
“It’s so exciting, I can’t wait … I feel very fulfilled in my life right now, and I’m very happy with the balance. But yeah, a lot is going on, babies, dogs, planning my wedding.”
Last year, Perrie admitted the couple booked a venue for 2026 but they ended up cancelling because they had second thoughts and decided it wasn’t right.
She told Glamour magazine: “We did have it planned, and I booked a venue for next year. I viewed in March, viewed it again in June, and I hated it.
“So now we’re all in a bit of a frenzy mare. My mam’s stressed. We’re all stressed.
“Because I want to get married, but I don’t know where now. I haven’t even sent out ‘save the dates’. But I do really want to get married soon. I can’t wait to get married.”
