The Horror Section has shared the official trailer for Eli Roth‘s new horror film Ice Cream Man.
Roth directed, produced, and stars in the film along with creating the story and co-writing the script with his longtime collaborator Noah Belson.
“Ice Cream Man follows an idyllic summer town descending into madness when an ice cream man serves kids sweet delights with horrifying results,” reads the synopsis.
It should be noted that it is not a remake or reimagining of the 1995 film.
The new trailer is red-band, so it’s got plenty of gore in it for those interested in how bloody Roth‘s latest film will be. He’s also known for Thanksgiving, the Hostel franchise, and Cabin Fever.
Ari Millen, Benjamin Byron Davis, Karen Cliche, Dylan Hawco, Sarah Abbott, Shiloh O’Reilly, Kirori Mirza Waldman, Charlie Zeltzer, and Charlie Storey also star in the film, which features original music by Snoop Dogg and Emmy-winning composer Brandon Roberts.
Ice Cream Man doesn’t hold back with its trailer, immediately showing possessed kids brutalizing their parents with various weapons and more.
This movie also marks the first that Roth has directed under his media company The Horror Section.
Ice Cream Man will hit theaters on August 7, 2026.
