Sheryl Crow is opening up about one of the most difficult periods of her life, revealing how she discovered her ex-fiancé Lance Armstrong had moved on while she was battling breast cancer in 2006.
The “All I Wanna Do” singer appeared on the Tuesday (May 19) episode of The BobbyCast on Netflix this week and shared that the couple split during the same week she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Shortly afterward, Sheryl said she learned Lance was “seeing a really famous actress.”
“I went through about nine months of radiation and grieving and anger,” she said.
Sheryl did not identify the woman by name, though she and Lance first started dating in 2003 and got engaged in 2005 before ending their relationship in September 2006. Reports at the time claimed the pair split because Sheryl wanted children and Lance did not.
After the breakup, Lance was linked to several high-profile women, including Eva Longoria, Ashley Olsen, and Kate Hudson.
Lance later married yoga instructor Anna Hansen in 2022, and the couple share two children together.
Sheryl is mom to two sons, Wyatt, 19, and Levi, 16, both of whom she adopted.
Last year, the Grammy winner also made headlines after opening up about a terrifying incident that happened at her home shortly after she sold her Tesla in protest of Elon Musk.
