Kyle Busch has sadly passed away.
Hours after the NASCAR legend’s family announced that he had been hospitalized due to a “severe illness,” the athlete has shockingly died at the age of 41.
Kyle is credited as one of NASCAR’s drivers with the most wins ever, and he is widely regarded as one of the best in NASCAR history.
His final public appearances came less than a week after his passing.
On Sunday (May 17), Kyle appeared at the NASCAR Cup Series All-Star Race at Dover Motor Speedway in Dover, Delaware, marking his final major public appearance.
Earlier in the weekend, on Friday (May 15), he was photographed in victory lane after winning the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series ECOSAVE 200 at Dover Motor Speedway.
The news was announced in a joint statement from Busch’s racing team, Richard Childress Racing, and NASCAR.

Throughout a career that spanned more than two decades, Kyle set records in national series wins, won championships at NASCAR’s highest level and fostered the next generation of drivers as an owner in the Truck Series.
