Katharine McPhee is speaking out after getting slammed by Chrishell Stause.
If you didn’t see, the 44-year-old former Selling Sunset star recently criticized the 42-year-old American Idol alum for supporting “problematic men” after she hosted a fundraiser for Spencer Pratt‘s mayoral race.
“One day she will find her real inner confidence but it won’t come until after she is disgarded enough times by the problematic men she backs,” Chrishell wrote on social media. “An insecure woman will steal your man, and give the worst advice.”
E! News then shared a post on Instagram about Chrishell‘s comments, and in the comment section, one fan asked what Katharine said in the first place that triggered Chrishell‘s reaction.
Katharine responded to the fan, “Honestly, I have no idea. I am just as confused about this controversy as you lmao.”
Chrishell‘s original comment was posted on a TikTok video by influencer Jordy Cray regarding Katharine‘s dating history. The video addressed the 2013 photos of Katharine kissing her Smash director, Michael Morris, while they were both married to other people. It also touched on her marriage to David Foster, who is 35 years older than her.
Then on Threads, Chrishell directly addressed Katharine supporting Pratt as he runs for mayor of Los Angeles.
“But if you are in these streets campaigning for Trump backed Pratt, yeah I’m gonna eye roll your advice on men Katherine,” Chrishell wrote.
While several other celebs have voiced their support for Spencer Pratt, one famous comedian made it very clear that they will not be voting for him.
