“Mama’s little helper.” That’s how Meghan Markle described her daughter, Princess Lilibet, on Instagram this weekend. In a photo of a tender everyday moment, mom and daughter are together in front of a closet in what looks to be her Montecito home. In the image, the four-year-old princess appears with her back turned and her red hair pulled back into a ponytail, kneeling to help her mother put on her shoes.
It is a rare look inside the California home where the duchess has lived with her husband, Prince Harry, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, since 2020, when they officially left the British royal family. Together the parents have chosen to rarely share photos of their children, offering only a few glimpses of their daily life away from institutional commitments. She shared one such look on Mother’s Day, which the family celebrated on a trip Disneyland with Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland. Earlier in the day, the duchess used a post to wish her son Archie on his seventh birthday. “Seven years later… Happy birthday to our sweet boy,” she wrote, alongside an image of Harry holding the infant in his arms.
