Taylor Frankie Paul has an update on her post-Bachelorette relationships with the rest of the cast in the midst of her continued legal battle with ex Dakota Mortensen.
“Handful of them have shown consistent kindness this entire time ❤️🩹,” Taylor, 31, wrote via Instagram on Friday, May 12, sharing footage of herself dancing with contestant Shane Parton. “[Shane,] tell your parents they can come visit now that I got extra space.”
Alongside her video, Taylor further noted that she has grown tighter with the contestants on her season since wrapping the dating show.
“‘Bet the men are pissed,’” Taylor wrote over the clip. “Oddly, we all became closer.”
In addition to Shane, several of his fellow Bachelorette hopefuls shared their support for the embattled reality TV star in the comments section. Clayton Johnson and Johnnie LaRossa each sent fire and rose emojis in response.
While Taylor was cast as the season 22 lead, her season never aired on ABC.
“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time,” a spokesperson for Disney Entertainment told Us Weekly in a March statement. “Our focus is on supporting the family.”
Days earlier, footage from Taylor’s 2023 arrest was leaked where the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star was seen physically assaulting Dakota, 33, and throwing chairs at him. (Taylor pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in February 2023 after the fight with Dakota, as part of a plea deal to dismiss additional charges pertaining to child abuse.)
“Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security,” Taylor’s rep told Us at the time. “After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm.”
In light of the resurfaced footage, Taylor temporarily lost custody of 2-year-old son Ever. (Taylor shares Ever with Dakota, as well as Indy, 8, and Ocean, 5, with ex-husband Tate Paul.) After investigating another alleged incident involving Dakota and Taylor earlier this year, local police declined to press charges against the MomTok influencer.
Taylor has since been focused on healing, which also includes reuniting with Doug Mason from the show.
“They were hanging out recently and want to see if they can get back together and be a couple,” a source exclusively told Us last month, noting the pair are “seeing each other” and “trying to make it work.”
ABC has not announced whether Taylor’s season will ever air.
