NBC has canceled two shows from it’s 2026-2027 television season.
The medical drama Brilliant Minds starring Zachary Quinto and the cheerleading sitcom Stumble with Jenn Lyon were both axed by the network on Friday (May 1). With both of those series canceled, there are two more scripted series on the bubble between the long-running Law & Order and The Hunting Party, which is in its second season.
Deadline reports that the midseason comedy series The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins starring Daniel Radcliffe and Tracy Morgan is likely to be renewed.
The news comes as Brilliant Minds ranked as the lowest-rated drama series on NBC on linear. Despite having the same cushy time slot after The Voice on Monday nights, the show hasn’t been able to compete and instead has had double-digit declines.
Six episodes remain of the series and they will be released beginning on May 27 to finish out the show.
Stumble was in a similar situation after spending several months on the bubble. It has performed well with critics and audiences, but hasn’t performed well in the ratings.
Episodes are available to stream on Peacock.
Keep track of all the shows that NBC and the other networks and streaming services have canceled and renewed already this year!
