Jamie Ding‘s Jeopardy win streak came to an end earlier this week after he won 31 games in a row.
If you didn’t see, he exited the famed quiz show on Monday (April 27) with his loss to the new champion, Greg Shahade. He ended up winning $882,605 in prize money during his successful run on the game show!
In an interview after the win-streak, he spoke out briefly about the current administration, given that he’s an immigrant and a person of color.

“I kept hearing how it was bringing people together, and I love that very much. I’ve heard people say, ‘It’s nice to have something positive on TV!’ As an immigrant and a person of color, I was able to become part of the history of an American institution,” he told People.
He shared, “‘Jeopardy!’ really is an institution and America’s turning 250 years old and the federal government is going after immigrants in a way unlike anything that we’ve seen in the recent past. So I hope that immigrants can be seen in a positive light too.”
