    King Charles and Queen Camilla may not be visiting United States, after all.

    The 77-year-old and 78-year-old royal couple were meant to come stateside, but those plans may no longer be in the works following the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday (April 25) in Washington, D.C.

    According to a new report, the King and Queen were set to go to Washington, D.C. on Monday (April 27) for a four-day visit related to the 250th anniversary of the U.S. declaring independence from the United Kingdom, per the U.K. foreign office, via People.

    A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace now says: “His Majesty is being kept fully informed of developments and is greatly relieved to hear that the President, First Lady and all guests have been unharmed.”

    “A number of discussions will be taking place throughout the day to discuss with U.S. colleagues and our respective teams to what degree the events of Saturday evening may or may not impact on the operational planning for the Visit,” the spokesperson continued, via the outlet.

    Charles and Camilla also “reached out privately” to Donald Trump and Melania Trump following the shooting incident, according to the report.
