Isa Briones, who previously as Eurydice in Hadestown and as Maria/Peggy in the national tour of Hamilton, has returned to the Broadway stage. Tonight she made her debut as Connie Francis in Just in Time. Joining her was Matthew Morrison who made his debut as Bobby Darrin tonight. He is performing a limited three week run, temporarily replacing his Glee costar Jonathan Groff before Jeremy Jordan takes over the role in a long term capacity.
Jonathan Groff’s final performance with the show was on Sunday. The audience gave him a standing ovation during his entrance, which brought on the tears. During the curtain call, Jonathan auctioned off the hat he was wearing. Ryan Reynolds was in the audience with Blake Lively and their three daughters. He ended up paying $25k, which was donated to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
