For Lady Gaga, the show doesn’t go on until she makes sure her team is safe.

On December 13, Lady Gaga performed her Mayhem Ball tour set in Sydney, Australia.

At first, she and her dancers’ routine was going on as normal, until some rainwater led to a quick and unfortunate accident.

One of Gaga’s dancers, Michael Dameski, slipped and slid right off the stage, catching himself and landing on his feet just below.

Immediately concerned, Gaga stopped the show to check on Dameski.

“Just one second,” Gaga can be heard saying in a fan clip uploaded to X. “We just had an accident on the stage. Everything’s ok. Just, everyone, wait a second, please.”

Gaga then hopped down off the stage to check on Dameski further, hugging him.

Fans also reported that Gaga delayed the show for several more minutes to make sure all of the dancers had good grips on their shoes before continuing the show.

On December 14, Dameski himself took to Instagram to update fans on how he was doing after the incident.

While Dameski did not have any serious physical injuries, he shared that he was struggling to process what happened on a mental level.

“This has been an extremely overwhelming experience. For someone who has danced professionally for many years, something like this has never really happened to me,” Dameski shared in the post.

“My body was sore and bruised, but I knew I had to keep going and finish strong, especially with my family in the audience and performing for my hometown,” Dameski continued. “It was the only way for me to heal mentally and feel better once the show was finished.”

He then stated that he would be taking time to rest while the tour is on its scheduled break and was grateful for the support everyone was giving him.

In the comments, fans of both Dameski and Gaga sent him their love.

“You have fallen into the arms of the best fanbase in the world, and little monsters everywhere are cheering you on. Glad you’re ok and can’t wait to see you back on stage with Gaga. 👏👏👏” one fan commented on the post.

“I’m so glad that you are OK. 🙏🏼❤️” another fan added. “Please, please try not to be so hard on yourself. I’m glad that you can rest now and have a great holiday season. Thank you for sharing your dance artistry with the world.👏❤️”

The Mayhem Ball tour is scheduled to continue in February, starting in Glendale, Arizona, making stops in cities across North America.
