    Pixar Announces New Movie ‘Gatto’ From ‘Luca’ Team, Details Revealed

    The next animated feature from Disney and Pixar has just been unveiled!

    At the Annecy International Animation Film Festival on Friday (June 13) Pixar Animation Studios announced a brand new project that is coming – Gatto.

    What will become the 32nd movie released from the animation company, Gatto hails from the director, Enrico Casarosa, and producer, Andrea Warren, of Luca and returns to Italy!

    Gatto is set in Venice, Italy, “where after years of maneuvering the canal-ridden, superstitious city, a black cat named Nero begins to question whether he’s lived the right lives. Indebted to a local feline mob boss, Nero finds himself in a quandary and is forced to forge a truly unexpected friendship that may finally lead him to his purpose—unless Venice gets the better of him first.”

    The movie is set for a summer 2027 release.

    Pixar has released 28 movies so far, with another – Elio – hitting theaters next weekend, with four more in the works.
