Love Is Blind season 8 returned on Valentine’s Day in 2025, and this time, fans watched 32 single men and women enter the pods hoping for a chance to find love and form connections not based on physical attraction. Only five couples left the pods engaged this season, including David Bettenburg and Lauren O’Brien. Now, viewers want to know if David and Lauren are still together.

Warning! Spoilers for Love Is Blind season 8 episodes 1 through 6 ahead!

Are Love Is Blind Stars David and Lauren Still Together?

David had a hard time choosing between Lauren and fellow cast member Molly Mullaney during his time in the pods, but he ultimately proposed to Lauren. She said yes, and the two still follow one another on Instagram which seems like a good sign that they’re still together, or at least remained friendly after the cameras stopped rolling. This season was filmed in March 2024 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

What Happened With Love Is Blind’s David and Lauren in the Pods?

Lauren struggled a bit while in the pods. David had developed connections with both her and Molly, and Molly seemed sure that she and David would end up together. When she spoke about her time with David, Molly was unaware that Lauren was David’s other choice, which sent Lauren spiraling. However, things changed when Lauren confronted the medical device salesman about his relationship with Molly.

“I feel so confidently about you and about this, but I spent the last day being like, ‘The way he talks to me is either he’s really good at talking a big game here to two different people, or she’s interpreting things differently,’” Lauren said during episode 5.

David admitted that his feelings for Molly were “confusing” for him because they were so “similar,” but said that they hadn’t had “super deep conversations.” However, he explained that “not knowing” if Lauren was still “seeing other guys” was something that had “held him back” from pursuing a relationship with Lauren more aggressively.

During a following date with Molly, she asked David if he thought he had more of an “emotional connection” with Lauren, and he confessed that he did. His answer solidified his decision to choose Lauren and he and Molly ended things.

Love Is Blind’s David and Lauren Seemingly Have a Rough Road Ahead

While the midseason trailer showed David and Lauren enjoying their time oceanside after the pods, their return to the real world doesn’t seem so smooth. One of David’s biggest worries about getting engaged during Love Is Blind was that his sister didn’t approve. Lauren was anxious to meet her but one scene showed the educational saleswoman in tears about the situation.

“Where are you at with your sister?” Lauren asked Dave through tears. “I’m, like, so helpless in this.”

In another clip, Dave was heard saying, “You guys clearly were, like, seeing each other,” as the camera panned to Lauren laughing before she said, “I’m not trying to hide anything. Like, I’m so honest with you.”

However, it looks like their relationship might become even more tense when the cast reunited for a gathering and David had a conversation with Molly.

“We are each other’s person,” Molly told David. “You are allowed to change your mind completely.”

David responded, “I f–ked up,” which does not bode well for Lauren.

Viewers can catch the next batch of Love Is Blind episodes when they drop on Netflix on February 21, 2025.
