    Prince William is sending his condolences to his former nanny after her stepson was killed in the New Year’s Day attack in New Orleans.

    In the early hours of Wednesday morning (January 1), a Texas man drove a rented truck through the crowds of people out celebrating New Year’s Eve on the iconic Bourbon Street in New Orleans.

    The 42-year-old Prince of Wales and his brother Prince Harry‘s former nanny Tiggy Legge-Bourke‘s stepson Ed Pettifer, 31, was one of the 15 victims killed in the horrific attack.

    Keep reading to find out more…On Saturday (January 4), Prince William released a statement to send his condolences.

    “Catherine and I have been shocked and saddened by the tragic death of Ed Pettifer,” Prince William wrote on his official Instagram Story. “Our thoughts and prayers remain with the Pettifer family and all those innocent people who have been tragically impacted by this horrific attack.”

    Ed – who lived in Chelsea, West London – had been visiting Louisiana with a friend at the time of tragedy, The Times reported.
