Once again, Despicable Me 4 was unruffled by the newcomers.Good thing it was predictable, because the trades are a little late on numbers today. I wonder why?*
- DM 4: 44.6m$. Good (?) News, it's the first animated franchise to cross 5$billion dollars! Eat that, Disney!
- Longlegs turned out to be NEON's best opener, with 22.6m$ (*They never had to count that high OW)
- IO2 follows with 20$m, so expect these positions to maybe switch in the coming days.
- Day One still has days left in it, with11.8m$
- Fly Me to The Moon opened with just 10$m! Apple isn't great at this making money via distribution thing I see. Lucky they have hardware to fall back on.
ICYMI:
- BLACKPINK – BORN PINK filmed concert hits theaters July 31st in limited screenings
- My friend Club C will hear about this.
- Ghiblifest is still going! I like how they market it as a special thing but it's literally April – December. That's 3/4ths of the year babe.
- Austin Butler, Zoe Kravitz, and Regina King arrive at a movie studio to film Caught Stealing
This week you have Oddity and Twisters.
