Pixar Layoffs Imminenet in later half of 2024.
While the cuts are not as severe as they’re listed here (allegedly), they are coming, due to the fact that, uh oh, the output was so much for a concept (streaming) that doesn’t make a lot of money for Disney.

GKIDS is currently distributing Studio Ghibli’s The Boy and The Heron in the US.
After two sisters are transported into their favorite storybook and turned into anthro cats, ”“Now transformed into humanoid cats, the sisters are quickly separated in this new fantastical land, which features flying divas, technicolor dragons, and other mind-melting creations, including the mysterious blue-haired wizard Sirocco, who can control the winds.”
The art looks really charming and reminds me of foriegn storybooks from the 90s. fitting, because, it’s French.
