• The Curse and Poor Things star Emma Stone is heading back to Studio 8H for the first time since 2019. This is Stone’s fifth episode, which means she’ll be inducted into SNLs infamous Five-Timers Club.
• Stone first hosted the show in October 2010, and followed that up with another episode in November 2011. She made a handful of cameo appearances, and paid tribute to Gilda Radner in 2015 at the SNL 40 special. Her subsequent hosting stints in 2016 and 2019 included a pair of modern day classics with the Julio Torres penned sketches “Well For Boys” and “The Actress”. In 2017 Stone began dating SNL segment director Dave McCary, and in 2019 McCary proposed to her in the SNL office where they first met.
• This will be Noah Kahan’s first time on the show. Kahan is coming off of a banner year with his breakout record Stick Season reaching number 3 on the Billboard 200 and landing a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist earlier this month. He celebrated the announcement by posting a screenshot of a 2021 tweet where he said, “I wanna perform on SNL I don’t even care if it’s an off brand version called Sunday Night Live just get me on the show.”
