I knew more or less the whole story, but to see more details and contextualized was crazy.
That press conference with all the insufferable reporters angrily asking questions was wild. And I love that one of the black reporters in the room didn’t let an out of pocket comment slide.
And there were people wanting to sue them for fraud. The mother and her son being interviewed with all those camera people ðŸ˜
I like how they don’t portray Ingrid as a villain, but definitely leaves it open to viewer interpretation of her side of the story in a few aspects (Ingrid being producer Frank Farians business partner and girlfriend).
The wildest part was when Frank Farian rebranded with “THE REAL MILLI VANILLI”, which featured the real male vocalists as part of the front-facing group, but he STILL hired 2 more pretty people to be the focal point (a young black man with a similar hair style, and a young black woman fronting for the real duo of white female vocalists).
John Davis, the rapper, would rap as part of the “band”, and Brad Howell was in the back on keys for live shows.
Not to mention that Frank himself was actually the male vocalist for Boney M!
