Kim Kardashian was late and that allegedly left Vogue boss Anna Wintour annoyed when she saw Kim at the Victoria Beckham fashion show, sources confirmed to Page Six. The “Turn It Up” non-songstress was a guest of honor at Beckham’s Spring-Summer ’24 show in Paris on Friday. One onlooker told the source: “Kim was super late. Anna was pissed because the show was delayed until Kim arrived. Anna left before Victoria even did her walk in front of the guests after showing the collection because she was late to other shows.”
As the UK Telegraph’s head of fashion, Lisa Armstrong, wrote Tuesday: “The Kardashians’ fashion show routine is to keep everyone waiting at least 50 minutes before ‘making their entrance.’
“At Victoria Beckham on Friday, Anna Wintour was visibly unamused, tapping her watch repeatedly in the direction of the PRs before the show finally started once les Kardashians had swept in,” Armstrong wrote.
On Instagram, Armstrong then posted a video of Robert Downey Jr. and Cate Blanchett arriving at the Stella McCartney show in Paris on Instagram Monday, writing: “Proper celebrities … who manage to be on time for fashions shows (along with Florence Pugh) unlike others I could mention but won’t because this is a Kardashian-free zone.”
Despite the rumors, a source close to Wintour said they chatted, adding: “Anna had to leave early for another engagement.”
Another fashion source insisted the show was not delayed for Kardashian: “Kim and Kris arrived at 5:50pm so they were only 20 minutes late,” the source said. “The show would have started without [Kardashians], but [Beckham’s team was] not ready backstage… shows don’t usually start right at the invite time. Usually they start 20-40 minutes after the allotted time.”
