Leighton Meester post Gossip Girl. She’s starred in some okay productions since but never really reached the heights I thought she would. Though I’m not sure if she wanted to either – she seems very low-key and down to earth. But I do hope to see her utilize her acting chops in a big production in the future.

I thought Daisy Ridley in Star Wars: The Force Awakens gave a star-making performance but she has barely done much since of note.

Hailee Steinfeld. Her career isn’t a flop or anything and I liked The Edge of Seventeen but I guess I expected bigger things? Given her first film role got her an Oscar nomination at what, 14?

I mean she’s the lead in a transformer movie and she’s in the MCU playing Kate Bishop and is the lead in Hawkeye, I would say she’s pretty darn successful, especially since she also has a pretty impressive music career all at the same time

That’s fair enough, I guess I maybe just expected a different kind of successful than Transformers (which I’d honestly already forgotten about) and an MCU show because of how prestigious her start was, but if she’s happy and intentional about doing the roles she’s been doing that’s what matters I guess.

I wish Lee Pace would’ve really blown up after the Fall.

    Sadly ✨homophobia✨

(Still mad he was unwillingly outed by a journalist)

I rally thought Trevante Rhodes would be bigger after Moonlight. Jharrell Jerome as well.

    —————–

I also thought Emmy Rossum would be a lot bigger after Shameless.

I’ve always considered Emmy Rossum to be extremely talented, but there has been a fair amount of smoke about her being difficult to work with (and not in the Katherine Heigl, standing up for yourself way).

She’s super difficult to work with. I worked at the record label that put out her album and she was horrendous.

    —————–

Dianna Agron. She can sing but maybe her acting was never that memorable? But i thought her look was very appealing.

    —————–

Taylor Kitsch from Friday Night Lights. I thought he was destined for true stardom. He’s worked steadily since but has never really had a huge star making moment.

    —————–

Dan Stevens, he’s kind of fallen off since his iconic performance in Eurovision 😂

    —————–

Caitríona Balfe from Outlander and Belfast. She’s absolutely phenomenal in both! Her work is deeply vulnerable, honest, and committed. I understand it’s difficult since she’s in a long running series, but I selfishly would love to see her in more projects!

    —————–

    Jon Hamm
. He was an A List movie star in the making at the height of Mad Men, but he made some strange career decisions afterward. I get that he wanted to do something different post Mad Men, and do comedic roles to get away from the Don Draper caricature, but I feel like it took him out of the picture.

    —————–

Aaron Paul is another one. He was so great as Jesse in Breaking Bad, but his career has kind of fizzled.

    —————–

a good majority of the leads in the game of thrones cast. where are they at

Emilia Clarke has a Marvel show coming out this year, but it’s kinda wild how being in a Marvel movie did very little for either Richard Madden or Kit Harington. “Robb Stark and Jon Snow reunite for Marvel movie” would have been a way bigger deal even just like 5 years ago imo.

    —————–

Colin Morgan in BBC Merlin, I absolutely adore anything he in and he deserves recognition xx

    —————–

Naomi Scott. Thought she’d be everywhere after Aladdin

    —————–

I thought Dakota Fanning would have all the Oscars when she got older. Now, I rarely see her and when I do, it’s either in a terrible movie only like five people have ever seen or in a good movie that she has a tiny part in.

    —————–

John Gallagher Jr won a Tony at 22 and gave a great performance in Short Term 12 next to Brie Larson, Rami Malek, Lakeith Stanfield, and Kaitlyn Dever, all of whom went on to have much bigger success in their careers. I always thought he would break through and he never did.

    —————–

Honestly, most of the Glee cast. I didn’t really like the show past season one, but they had a VERY talented pool of actors

The person I see popping up the most is Harry Shum Jr. Good for him!

    —————–

    Brittany Snow.
I thought she was great in American Dreams. Then she did John Tucker Must Die and I really thought she was on her way to a very solid career.

    —————–

    Katee Sackhoff
in battlestar galactica. I know she’s in the mandalorian now but she was soooo good and underrated.

    —————–

Colin O’Donoghue from Once Upon a Time. He’s incredibly handsome and was charismatic as hell on the show, but his post-Once career has fizzled out. He was on The Right Stuff remake but that only lasted a season, and hasn’t done anything in the past few years aside from voice work.

    —————–

Daniel Sharman. I know he’s been in a handful of shows but I was first introduced to him as in Fear the Walking Dead in an absolute knockout performance as Troy. He’s wildly talented.

    —————–

Matthew Czuchry. Don’t get why he hasn’t blown up. LOVED LOVED LOVED him as Logan Huntzberger on Gilmore Girls.

Matt Czuchry has had a pretty solid run in the tv department though, from the good wife to the resident he’s managed to stay as a lead on on network tv for years.

    —————–

Jessica Brown Findlay. I thought after she left Downton Abbey, her career would absolutely skyrocket. She’s been in a few charming indie films (This Beautiful Fantastic) and of course Harlots was iconic but considering how much of a fan favourite Sybil was, I expected Hollywood to eat her up.
