I’m sure Gaga’ll slip in an original song to get that Oscar nomination/win, but for now, people close to the production are saying the upcoming sequel “Joker: Folie à Deux” (out this October) will be a jukebox musical (meaning the numbers featured will be covers of preexisting popular songs – think “Mamma Mia!” and “Moulin Rouge!”), including “That’s Entertainment” from the 1953 musical “The Band Wagon.”
Oscar winners Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga are playing Joker and Harley Quinn, respectively, and the movie’s expected to have 15 of these songs (not including any possible original songs, though nothing confirmed there yet).
