The Nobel Prize in Literature has been awarded to Norwegian author Jon Fosse. Known for his plays, including “A Summer’s Day,” the award was given for his entire body of work. He writes in Nynorsk, a less common version of written Norwegian. He said the prize was something of a surprise, but that he’s also been expecting it for 10 years.
