The 2023 Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to Moungi G. Bawendi, Louis E. Brus, and Alexei I. Ekimov for their work on the discovery and development of quantum dots, nanoparticles so tiny that their size determines their properties. Dr. Bawendi is at MIT, Dr. Brus is at Columbia, and Dr. Ekimov is formerly Chief Scientist at Nanocrystals Technology Inc.
